MINNEAPOLIS -- The A's have placed starter Sean Manaea on the 10-day disabled list with a left shoulder impingement, the club announced prior to Sunday's game.
Manaea has experienced a breakout season in his third year with the A's. The 26-year-old lefty is 12-9 with a 3.59 ERA in 27 starts this season, including 108 strikeouts and 32 walks in 160 2/3 innings pitched. He is tied for second in the American League in games started, ninth in innings pitched and is sixth in fewest walks per nine innings (1.79). On April 22, he threw the 12th no-hitter in franchise history.
