Hot dogs aren't wholesome at the best of times.
At the worst of times, they're among the most putrid foods a consumer can put in his or her system.
The Kansas City Royals are at the centre of a ballpark hot dog scandal after a local TV station took a closer look at the MLB team's heavily-promoted 'Buck Night' – which sees hot dogs at Kauffman Stadium sold for $1.00.
Sounds great, right? A reprieve from inflated ballpark prices seems like good community relations.
That is, until the actual product is put under the microscope.
