DUNEDIN, FLA. - Josh Donaldson’s recovery from a calf injury has progressed to the point where he’s eyeing his first Grapefruit League game.
After another impressive batting practice session on Friday at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium, the Blue Jays third baseman said he is targeting next week for his first game this spring.
“We’re hoping sometime next week to get into a game if everything continues to progress well,” Donaldson said. “Tomorrow I’m going to be on the field for the first time with the team. I’m not going to be doing any running - I still do that on my own.
