Josh Donaldson Injury: Updates on Blue Jays Star's Possible Concussion, Return

Josh Donaldson has been the biggest offensive catalyst for the Toronto Blue Jays all season long, but the third baseman had to be removed from Game 1 of the ALDS against the Texas Rangers after suffering an apparent head injury.

According to Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal, Donaldson was "removed for precautionary reasons" after taking a knee to the head during a slide into second base in the sixth inning. Ezequiel Carrera came on as a pinch hitter before Cliff Pennington was inserted as Donaldson's replacement at third base.
