Not even Logan Morrison’s Chihuahua act could throw Marcus Stroman off.
Two of the best young starters in baseball took the mound at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg on Sunday and it was Stroman who out-dueled his friend Chris Archer to guide Toronto to an opening day victory.
There is so much hype surrounding the 24-year-old right-handed pitcher (the StroShow?) that you almost expect him to cave under the pressure. But Stroman continues to prove that he is a special player. The New York native shined in his opening day assignment, fighting through a couple of jams and some mind games.
