Jays sluggers helping teammates with swings

DUNEDIN — One day this week, Blue Jays manager John Gibbons was poking around the complex well after the normal working day was over for his players.

“I heard some noise in the batting cage, so I stopped in and there were maybe 10 guys in there working on their swings,” Gibbons said. “(Josh) Donaldson had (Domonic) Brown working off a tee, trying to get some point across. It was pretty impressive. I haven’t seen that before. Not anywhere. One thing they do is they really help coach each other. That’s an ideal situation but you don’t get that too often.
