WASHINGTON — - It’s one of those sayings that people fall back on when life’s problems seem unexplainable, but Dioner Navarro is a firm believer.
“I say it all the time,” said Navarro. “Everything happens for a reason.”
Navarro has been sidelined from the Blue Jays for six weeks, recovering from a severe hamstring pull. It was difficult and frustrating but, at the same time, it enabled him to be with his wife to support her after the sudden death of her father in Puerto Rico.
About three weeks ago, the phone rang as Navarro and his wife Shereley were leaving a Tampa hospital after having some tests done on their newborn baby.
