Blue Jays pitcher Mark Buehrle may not be on the active roster, but that doesn’t mean he’s not going to stand up for his teammates.
The veteran lefty was ejected from Game 5 of the ALDS against the Texas Rangers after the two teams spilled on to the field in the bottom of the seventh inning following Jose Bautista’s three-run homerun. The Rangers took exception to the Toronto players running on to the field to celebrate Bautista’s dinger.
“I got tossed?” said Buehrle with a sly smile, following the Jays 6-3 comeback victory. “I have no idea.
