ST. PETERSBURG, FLA. - As Joe Biagini walked on the Tropicana Field infield prior to his team’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday, he was stopped by Rogers broadcaster Pat Tabler.
“(Tabler) said, ‘Good luck, we’re rooting for ya,’ ” said Biagini, who had been told unofficially that he would be taken out of the bullpen and start on Sunday. But as far as he was aware, no announcement had been made about the move so he wasn’t exactly sure why Tabler was wishing him good luck.
