Marco Estrada had more than a few quibbles with his inability to find it on Tuesday against the Atlanta Braves.
The Blue Jays starter struggled early at Rogers Centre, needing 34 pitches to get through the first inning, and never recovered fully as the Jays went on to lose 9-5.
The Braves scored twice on Estrada before the Jays came to the plate, and when Estrada was done after six innings, the visitors had scored five runs, all earned, on eight hits.
“If I’m not locating a fastball down and away, it’s not going to be a good day and that’s basically what happened,” Estrada said after registering a no-decision.
