Jays' Copeland demoted after another poor outing

One thing from Sunday’s game is crystal clear — Scott Copeland is not the answer.

After Sunday’s dispiriting 13-9 loss, the Jays agreed and optioned the right-hander back to triple-A Buffalo.

In a partial cleansing of the bullpen, veteran Phil Coke and right-hander Ryan Tepera were shipped to Buffalo as well.

The Jays said corresponding moves will be made on Monday.

Tomorrow the Jays were expecting starter R.A. Dickey, who has been away on a bereavement leave following the death of his father, and Devon Travis, who has been on the disabled list with a bruised left shoulder, to return.
