Injury-riddled Blue Jays shut out by Indians

TORONTO — What qualities would you rather have in a manager of an underachieving, injury-riddled team — an optimist or a realist?

In John Gibbons, the Blue Jays have a dose of each, although after a 6-0 loss to the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday night, it would have been difficult to continue to see the glass as half full.

Gibbons is adamant his team is much better than the one which staggered through a miserable April and into a crater at the bottom of the standings. And if they were healthier, the manager would probably be right.
