Indians boost World Series lead to 3-1 with Saturday night win

CHICAGO — Born in the Chicago suburb of Northbrook, Jason Kipnis was a conflicted individual coming into the World Series.

Drafted and developed by the Indians, the 29-year-old second baseman has been in Cleveland his entire career, each and every year doing everything he can to help get his team to this point.

Sometimes, though, rooting interests die hard, especially when you grew up as exactly that, cheering summer after summer for the hometown Chicago Cubs and even living down the street from the infamous Steve Bartman.

While they may tell you different with Kipnis in the vicinity, his whole family still bleeds Cubbies blue.
