Let's say you were a lapsed fan who hadn't watched professional football in, oh, about 40 years. If you tuned in to an NFL game for the first time in decades in Week 1, what would have stood out as different? I'm guessing some of the technological advancements would have been the first thing you noticed. The first-down marker is helpful. The game looks better in high definition, sure. The absence of neck rolls might have seemed strange. Let's look past the visual side of things, though.
