Sean Reid-Foley put together a quality start by surrendering just one run on a home run and walking just two over six innings. He struck out five and induced six outs on the ground. Murphy Smith gave up no runs in two innings of work. Jose Fernandez gave up a pair in the ninth before finishing the game out.
RBI doubles by Darnell Sweeney and Reese McGuire were two of the key offensive plays for the Herd. McGuire also drew a walk. Jonathan Davis had a double and recorded the only two-hit game for Buffalo.
