SEATTLE -- One week ago, Mike Hauschild was pitching for the Triple-A Fresno Grizzlies. On Monday, the Astros released him.
On Thursday night, he found himself in a Blue Jays uniform and in control as he fired six scoreless innings to pick up his first career win as Toronto shut down Seattle, 7-3, at Safeco Field.
The Blue Jays signed Hauschild on Thursday to help fill the void left by the J.A. Happ trade. He entered with the game tied at 2 in the second inning and fanned five with one walk.
