TORONTO -- The Blue Jays recalled infielder Ryan Goins from Triple-A Buffalo on Thursday, and in a corresponding move designated for assignment relief pitcher Todd Redmond. The move shrinks Toronto's bullpen from eight to seven men.
Redmond, who was the long reliever, was knocked around for four earned runs over 2 1/3 innings in the Blue Jays' 12-7 win over the Rays on Wednesday. In his only other appearance this season, he gave up four earned runs over two innings against Baltimore.
