With two throwing errors in the game, Marcus Stroman joined a not-so-exclusive club. He became the 15th pitcher in team history to make two errors in the same game.
The club record for errors by a pitcher in a game is the three errors committed by Juan Guzman on May 23, 1997 against Anaheim.
The two errors also doubled Stroman’s error total for his entire major-league career, spanning three seasons and 300 innings.
In the first inning, Stroman tried to pick off Cheslor Cuthbert at second base and threw the ball high over Troy Tulowitzki’s head.
