Free-agent outfielder Delmon Young was arrested and charged with battery on Sunday night after allegedly threatening to kill a hotel valet in Miami.
Young, 30, was upset after he couldn't gain entrance to a club. He accosted the valet both verbally and physically, according to a police report.
The incident happened at the Viceroy Hotel, where Young is a resident.
Young asked the valet to open an elevator and he was told the elevator was closed.
After being told the club wasn't open, Young allegedly grabbed the hotel employee by the neck and made the threat to kill him.
