It is Price's first career weekly honour and Donaldson's third. His last Player of the Week Award was won on May 31.
Donaldson recorded a hit and a run in each of the Blue Jays' games last week, as the club went a perfect 7-0 in that stretch. On Friday against the Yankees, he hit his career-high 30th homer of the year, and his 29 homers while playing third base this season are the most by any Toronto third baseman since Troy Glaus hit 33 in 2006.
Price threw eight innings of one-run ball in his first start with the Blue Jays while striking out 11 -- the most ever by a pitcher making his Toronto debut (passing Roger Clemens' nine in 1997).
