Donaldson exits with apparent calf injury

TORONTO -- Josh Donaldson was forced to leave Thursday night's game vs. the Orioles in the bottom of the sixth inning as he appeared to reinjure his sore right calf muscle.

Donaldson hit an RBI double to the corner in right field and after rounding second base he slowed down and tried to hop on one foot the rest of the way. He made it safely into second base but was clearly in a lot of pain, and following a brief conversation with the head trainer, he was removed from the game.

The calf injury has been an issue for almost two months.
