Donaldson claims Hank Aaron award

NEW YORK - For the third time in the last six years, a Blue Jay slugger is the American League’s Hank Aaron Award winner.

Josh Donaldson, a leading candidate to become the 2015 AL MVP, was named as this year’s recipient prior to Game 4 of the World Series here Saturday, joining teammate Jose Bautista, who won the Aaron award in 2010 and 2011.

Washington National Bryce Harper was named the National League winner.

Donaldson hit .297 with a .939 OPS and led the AL in RBI (123), runs (122) and total bases (352) while hitting 41 home runs.
