Dodgers add Greg Maddux, Raul Ibanez to front office staff

Hall of Fame pitcher Greg Maddux and Raul Ibanez will join the Los Angeles Dodgers as special assistants to the president of baseball operations and the baseball operations department.

The Dodgers announced Tuesday that Maddux and Ibanez will work under Andrew Friedman, who is president of baseball operations.

Maddux, 49, has front-office experience with the Chicago Cubs in 2010 as assistant to general manger Jim Hendry and with the Texas Rangers from 2012 to 2015 as a special assistant to general manager Jon Daniels. He also served as pitching coach for Team USA in the 2013 World Baseball Classic.
