NEW YORK - With three outfielders on the disabled list, Blue Jays manager John Gibbons is anxious to get his regular back in the mix.
Until that happens, he is intrigued by what Darrell Ceciliani brings to the table.
Ceciliani was a close call to make the opening day roster out of spring training but, in the end, the fact that he still had options cost him that opportunity. The Jays decided to keep Ezequiel Carrera, who was out of options, and he has had a decent season.
Carrera is currently at triple-A Buffalo on a rehab assignment after recovering from a strained Achilles tendon.
