The Arizona Diamondbacks acquired shortstop Jean Segura from the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday in a five-player deal.
Arizona shipped infielder Aaron Hill, right-hander Chase Anderson, shortstop Isan Diaz and cash to the Brewers for Segura and right-hander Tyler Wagner.
Segura, 25, batted .257 with six home runs, 50 RBIs and 25 steals last season. The 2013 All-Star has a career average of .266 in four big-league seasons.
"In Chase Anderson and Aaron Hill, we are adding two proven major league contributors who will impact our team this year," Brewers general manager David Stearns said in a statement.
