TORONTO -- Ryan Goins is known for being a magician with the glove, but on Friday night at Rogers Centre, he unveiled his sneakiest move yet: The hidden ball trick.
Goins got the best of New York's Todd Frazier by pretending to throw a ball back to the pitcher. Frazier had his back partially turned to Goins at the time and just assumed the throw had been made. He was wrong, and it cost the Yankees an out.
Frazier momentarily stepped off the bag, and Goins was there waiting. Toronto's infielder applied the tag and second-base umpire Mark Carlson raised his fist for the out call.
