Bruce-to-Blue Jays three-way deal stalls

DUNEDIN, Fla. -- The reported deal that would send Jay Bruce from the Reds to the Blue Jays in a three-team trade also involving the Angels is at least in jeopardy due to problems with a medical report and, according to one report on Tuesday, is off.

The medical report involved a Toronto Minor Leaguer who presumably would have gone to Cincinnati, reported Ken Rosenthal of FoxSports.com, who also said that the trade is dead, and a source confirmed to MLB.com's Mark Sheldon that a medical report was the problem.

A report on Monday night had said the trade was on hold due to concerns over the left knee of Toronto outfielder Michael Saunders, who would have gone to the Angels in the trade.
