Although the Blue Jays finished the 2019 campaign with a disappointing 67-95 record and planted firmly in fourth place in the American League East. However, regardless of the record, the team showed glimpses of the immediate future versus a very tough second-half schedule.
The brain trust approached the offseason with a clear game plan to shore up the starting rotation. The Jays not only pitching depth but they also added an ace when they inked Hyun-Jin Ryu to a four-year, $80 million dollar pact.
As spring training nears, the team boasts new faces like Chase Anderson, Tanner Roark, Shun Yamaguchi, Travis Shaw, Anthony Bass to go along with Ryu who were all welcomed into the fold this offseason.
