Blue Jays' win streak snapped at 11, fall to Yankees

TORONTO - This was what you might call a sobering experience.

Throughout the three-week ascension of the Blue Jays from a distant eight games behind the New York Yankees to take the lead in the American League East, the city of Toronto has been drunk on baseball.

Well, the Yankees gave Toronto a cold shower Friday night in the eighth inning, mounting a four-run rally against David Price and Aaron Sanchez that snapped the Jays 11-game winning streak. In the process, New York wrested that slender half-game lead away from the Jays with a 4-3 victory that stunned a crowd of 46,689 back to reality.
