Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is one of seven Blue Jays farmhands representing the Surprise Saguaros for the fall season. The Surprise was on the losing end of a 10-8 slugfest at the hands of the Salt River Rafters in AFL opener last night.
Guerrero picked up right where he left off banging out three hits including two doubles in a losing effort for the Saguaros. Vladdy also knocked in three and scored a run before being lifted for pinch runner Lane Thomas in the 9th inning.
The only other Blue Jays player to see action in the contest was Cavan Biggio who debuted in right-field for Manager Stubby Clapp.
