The four victories marked the first time in Toronto sports history that the Blue Jays, Maple Leafs, Raptors, and Toronto FC have all reigned victorious on the same day. It is the eighth time all four teams have played on the same day but the first time they have never completed the sweep.
The three major sports teams last all won together on April 12th, 2002, however, the soccer club was not included in that record.
The Maple Leafs took a stranglehold on their first-round playoff series with the Boston Bruins winning 2-1. The Leafs now own a 3-2 series lead and will look to close out the series with their Beantown rival on Sunday.
