The Blue Jays acquired 24-year-old southpaw Anthony Kay and 18-year-old right-hander Simeon Woods Richardson in exchange for Marcus Stroman. Although both prospects were not ranked in any Top 100 lists, the pair landed in the Jays Top 10 rankings organizationally.
Kay surprisingly wedged himself into the fifth spot in between pitchers Alek Manoah and Eric Pardinho who now sits sixth. The lefty threw the ball very well this season in Double-A accumulating a 7-3 record with a 1.49 earned run average in 12 starts with Binghamton.
