Blue Jays RHP Bo Schultz was hip-checked right out of spring training this season when it was decided he needed surgery to clean up his left hip. But after a long rehab and stint with the triple-A Buffalo Bisons this spring, Schultz was called up to the Jays on Sunday as RHP Gavin Floyd was put on the 15-day DL with a right shoulder injury.
Schultz was a dependable reliever for the Jays in June and July last year before his role in the bullpen was scaled back with the return of Aaron Sanchez to the pen and the acquisitions of Mark Lowe and LaTroy Hawkins.
