The Blue Jays selected the contract of left-hander Scott Diamond from Triple-A Buffalo on Monday.
Pitcher Pat Venditte was optioned to Buffalo, while lefty Franklin Morales was transferred to the 60-day disabled list to make room for Diamond on the 40-man roster.
Diamond, 29, was 4-6 with a 3.16 ERA in 12 starts for Buffalo. The Guelph, Ontario, native is 19-27 with a 4.43 ERA in 58 Major League starts, all with the Twins.
