BOSTON — Acting Blue Jays manager DeMarlo Hale (filling in for the absent John Gibbons) said RHP Marcus Stroman should be able to make his next start, on Friday at the Rogers Centre against the Detroit Tigers.
Stroman was struck on his right arm by a 107.5-mph line drive off the bat of slugger Mark Trumbo during Saturday’s 7-2 victory over the Orioles. It was a scary situation, though X-Rays came back negative and Stroman is on the mend.
“I saw him earlier, he said he’s feeling much better, but I think the swelling needs to go down,” said Hale on Monday afternoon at Fenway Park prior to the first game of this series.
