The Blue Jays hitters struck out another 16 times yesterday as they once again look overmatched by an Indians hurler. According to Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com, this is the first time in franchise history the Jays have whiffed at least 13 times in four consecutive games. To make matters worse, it has only ever been done four times in MLB history.
The Indians swept the four-game series limiting the Jays anemic offence to just six runs over the course of the series. The Jays tallied 57 strikeouts in the series, the second most in franchise history while only mounting 19 hits versus the Tribe.
