TORONTO - Another day, another baby step forward for Troy Tulowitzki.
The Jays injured shortstop -- he has been out since Sept 12 with a fracture in his left shoulder blade and bruised back muscles -- took some swings Thursday for the first time since the injury, hitting off a tee.
"Progress, no date yet, but progress," manager John Gibbons said.
Tulowitzki was definitely upbeat about the progress.
"I felt great out there, ground balls went well," he said of Friday's activities. "I feel like I'm moving a lot better. From the beginning, I said swinging was going to be the last thing.
