The Toronto Blue Jays made a pair of roster moves on Sunday morning that impact their triple-A Buffalo roster. Relief pitcher Bo Schultz has been activated from the disabled list and optioned to the Bisons, where he’s been pitching at the tail end of his rehab stint (hip).
Schultz, the hard-throwing right-hander, has worked three and a third innings at the triple-A level after a handful of appearances in single-A Dunedin and double-A New Hampshire. He’s allowed 11 earned runs over seven and two thirds innings pitched cumulatively (12.91 ERA) and walked seven batters. There’s still potential for Schultz to be a bullpen contributor throughout the season, however, as the Blue Jays continue to churn the final spot in their ‘pen and deal with inevitable injuries.
