According to TSN’s Scott Mitchell, the Blue Jays have made a host of roster transactions. As expected, several notable players headline the plethora of moves made Thursday.
They are summarized below:
Alford to Buffalo
Anthony Alford has been assigned to Triple-A Buffalo. Alford, 24, appeared in one game with the Blue Jays this season, going 0-for-3 with a strikeout. Once the major league outfield picture becomes a little more clear, Alford will likely be back with the Blue Jays. Until then, though, he’ll start his season in Buffalo.
Brito to Blue Jays
Recently acquired outfielder Sócrates Brito will join the major league club in Cleveland, and will, per the team’s Twitter page, bat ninth and play right field on Thursday.
