Blue Jays recall Andy Burns and Chad Girodo

As the end of a long stretch of 17 games in 17 days is nearing, the Blue Jays move back to a seven-man bullpen and add a bench bat for the trip to the City of Brotherly Love.

Burns bounces back up from Buffalo with just a taste of the big leagues so far, having appeared in five games and picking up five plate appearances. The 25-year-old is currently in the midst of a 2-for-24 stretch over the past seven games with the Bisons and he comes to Toronto looking for his first major league hit.

Burns gives the Blue Jays some much needed flexibility off the bench as they make their way to Philadelphia and switch over to the National League style of play.
