Giles Still Perfect on the Season
Blue Jays closer Ken Giles, known this weekend as “100 Miles Giles”, has yet to blow a save yet this season, converting his last 18 save opportunities.
Since joining the Blue Jays days before the July 31 trade deadline, Giles has pitched to an ugly 7.45 ERA in 9.2 innings. Despite this, he’s racked up 12 punchouts and has walked only two. Giles’ save streak is currently the longest active save streak in the majors.
