Adam Placed on IL
Right-hander Jason Adam has been placed on the 7-day injured list, the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons announced Saturday. With the Blue Jays this spring, Adam pitched to an ERA of 6.75 in 4.0 frames, striking out eight and allowing three earned runs on seven hits in three games.
Adam, 27, hails from Overland Park, Kansas and spent the last six seasons with the Kansas City Royals organization, appearing in 93 minor-league games and 31 big-league contests.
Straily Signs with Orioles
RHP Dan Straily, who was reported of interest to the Blue Jays just before the start of the season, has signed on with the Baltimore Orioles on a major-league deal worth $575,000, according to Craig Mish of MLB Network Radio.
