Blue Jays promote top pitching prospect to Double-A

Nate Pearson left little doubt that he was more than ready for his well-timed promotion after going 3-0 with a minuscule 0.86 earned run average fanning 35 hitters in 21 innings of work this season with the Dunedin Blue Jays of the Florida State League.

During his six starts, Pearson only walked three batters and allowed two runs both of them coming on solo home runs to Chad Sedio and Edgar Cabral. The 22-year old only made one appearance last season after being plagued by injuries.
