The Blue Jays contingent were on the winning side of a 7-6 walk-off victory thanks in part to a clutch 2-run triple off the bat of Buddy Reed. All three Jays players were in the starting lineup for the West including Nate Pearson who got the nod on the bump opposite Forrest Whitley.
Pearson was utterly explosive in his inning of work, consistently over 100 mph and topping out at 104 mph on the radar gun. Unfortunately for Pearson, his 104 mph offering was deposited over the centerfield wall by Mets prospect Pete Alonso.
