TORONTO -- The Blue Jays made another bullpen move prior to Sunday's series finale against the Pirates, placing Dominic Leone on the bereavement list and recalling left-hander Matt Dermody from Triple-A Buffalo.
Leone pitched 1 2/3 innings of relief on Saturday and struck out three while allowing just one hit. Since being claimed off waivers from the D-backs last November, the 25-year-old has quietly emerged as one of the Blue Jays' most important relief arms and has lowered his ERA to 2.55 on the season.
Dermody has made five MLB appearances this season for the Blue Jays.
