According to Jon Morosi of MLB Network, the Blue Jays and San Diego Padres are “engaged in ongoing discussions about a trade that would send Marcus Stroman to San Diego”.
Morosi adds that any trade that would take place likely wouldn’t involve top Padres prospects Fernando Tatis Jr., MacKenzie Gore or Francisco Mejia.
Morosi does mention, however, that pitching prospects Michel Baez and Logan Allen could be in play should the talks advance to a more serious point. Gregor Chisolm of MLB.
