Even in the current state of affairs, the Blue Jays continue to make roster moves optioning two rotation hopefuls in Anthony Kay and Sean Reid-Foley yesterday. Both hurlers will not be apart of the team’s initial 26-man roster when the MLB season eventually begins.
Kay had an up and down spring training seeing action four games over the course of 7.1 innings. The 25-year old yielded six earned runs over nine hits while walking seven in his first Grapefruit League action as a Blue Jay. Kay did manage to whiff nine batters but will have to improve on that 7.
