Blue Jays need to shut Marcus Stroman down for remainder of the season

There is no questioning Marcus Stroman‘s level of compete and his desire to be on the bump every fifth day however the 27-year old has been battling a nagging blister on his pitching hand that has wreaked havoc in a number of his starts of late.

Stroman was shelved for the second-half of August due to the blister issues that reappeared in his last start on Monday. Manager John Gibbons indicated that Stroman would not get the ball on Sunday for his next start and expressed his desire for the hurler to call it a season.
