Blue Jays' Navarro guns 'em down

TORONTO — - Dioner Navarro was back of the plate on Sunday making his 15th catching start this season.

Not known for having a great arm, Navarro was part of a strike-em-out, throw-em-out that ended the second inning.

With lumbering James Loney on first and a 3-2 count on David DeJesus, Estrada struck out the batter and, from his knees, Navarro made a perfect throw to Jose Reyes covering second and easily doubled up Loney.

It marked the third base runner that Navarro has gunned down this season in 11 attempts.

Navarro was just getting started as the next inning, the third, he logged his first pick-off of the season.
