According to Bob Elliott of The Canadian Baseball Network, the Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres, Atlanta Braves, Boston Red Sox, and New York Yankees all had “people watching” Marcus Stroman‘s start at Yankee Stadium on Sunday.
In a separate report, Sportsnet’s Pat Tabler, addressing Stroman on the television broadcast, noted that the Phillies indeed sent a scout to the start.
On July 10, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reported on Twitter that “there’s been no talk to this point between the Braves and [Blue] Jays involving Marcus Stroman”.
In purely speculative analysis, Steve Phillips of TSN bluntly said that Stroman “shouldn’t make another start for the Blue Jays”.
